UnoLock in 60 Seconds¶
UnoLock is a sovereign digital vault. It protects your most sensitive digital assets—crypto seed phrases, passwords, documents, and more—with military-grade security that even we can't break.
Here's what makes it different.
The Core Idea¶
Your data + Your encryption keys = Only you can access
Unlike traditional cloud storage where the provider holds the keys, UnoLock encrypts everything on your device before it ever leaves. We store encrypted blobs we cannot read. No keys. No backdoors. No access.
Zero-knowledge architecture: We know nothing about what you store.
What You Can Protect¶
| Asset Type | How UnoLock Protects It |
|---|---|
| Seed Phrases | SeedSafe splits and encrypts with quadruple layers |
| Crypto Keys | Digital Paper Wallet generates and secures BTC/ETH keys |
| Passwords | Encrypted records with secure viewing |
| Documents | Client-side encrypted file storage |
| Messages | Vault Messaging for anonymous, encrypted transmission |
Key Features (30-Second Overview)¶
Security¶
- AES-256 + Post-Quantum Encryption - Protected against today's hackers and tomorrow's quantum computers
- FIDO2/Biometric Login - No passwords to steal
- Zero-Knowledge - We can't see your data, ever
Protection¶
- DuressDecoy - Hide marked sensitive Spaces if coerced (Sovereign)
- Plausible Deniability - Permanently delete marked sensitive Spaces if coerced (HighRisk)
- Spaces - Compartmentalize data with separate access controls
Inheritance¶
- LegacyLink - Designated successors gain access if you're incapacitated
- LockoutGuard - Recover access if you lose your devices
- Time Lock - Temporarily lock an individual access key for a chosen number of hours
Privacy¶
- No Identity Required - Create a vault without providing personal information
- Bitcoin Payments - Pay anonymously
- No Tracking - No cookies, no analytics on your data
How It Works (Technical Summary)¶
1. You create a vault (no email required)
2. You authenticate via FIDO2/biometric
3. Your device generates encryption keys
4. Data is encrypted locally with AES-256-GCM
5. Encrypted blobs upload to AWS S3 (multi-region)
6. Keys never leave your device
7. To access: authenticate → keys regenerate → decrypt locally
Result: Even if our entire infrastructure were compromised, attackers would get encrypted noise.
The Two Tiers¶
Both tiers cost US$30 per year (US$2.50 per month equivalent) and include the same features: LegacyLink, LockoutGuard, Spaces, DPW, Vault Messaging, 1 GB of storage, and 2 access keys (up to 10). They differ only in what the safeword PIN does.
| Tier | Best For | Safeword PIN Response |
|---|---|---|
| Sovereign | Serious holders | DuressDecoy: hides marked sensitive Spaces |
| HighRisk | Maximum security | LifeSafe: permanently deletes marked sensitive Spaces |
What Makes UnoLock Different¶
| Traditional Solutions | UnoLock |
|---|---|
| Provider holds encryption keys | You hold encryption keys |
| Can be compelled to give access | Nothing to give—zero knowledge |
| Hacked = your data exposed | Hacked = encrypted noise exposed |
| No inheritance planning | LegacyLink built in |
| No coercion protection | DuressDecoy, plausible deniability |
| Classical encryption only | Post-quantum ready |
| Requires personal information | Anonymous by design |
Common Questions¶
"What if UnoLock disappears?" Your data is encrypted on AWS S3 with multi-region redundancy. Even if UnoLock as a company ceased to exist, your encrypted data persists. With your keys, you can always decrypt.
"What if I lose my device?" LockoutGuard lets you recover access through a secure process you configure in advance.
"Can governments force you to hand over my data?" We have nothing to hand over. Zero-knowledge means we don't have your keys or unencrypted data. We can only provide encrypted blobs we cannot read.
"Is this just for crypto?" No. UnoLock protects any sensitive digital asset—legal documents, medical records, family photos, business secrets, or anything you need to keep private and accessible.
